Warner Bros. decided to do something interesting and have a movie that’s not in the universe that was set up with 2013’s Man of Steel. Doesn’t sound too crazy, but in the world of connected films and shared universes, this actually seemed to be thinking out of the box. Todd Phillips directed Joaquin Phoenix in an Oscar winning performance as Gotham’s Clown Prince of Crime in a dark and R-rated origin story. What did the guys think?
