Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. In 2012, Marvel Studios did something no one had yet dared to do: Make a movie filled with superheroes who had all already had their own standalone films. The Avengers were assembled. Sure, we had the X-Men movies, which are filled with super powered beings, but this time we were going to get Iron Man and Captain America… in the same movie! With Thor! And the Hulk! It seemed too good to be true.

Yet in May of 2012, Joss Whedon made it come true.
