That completed project high…

I finished the first draft of my script. The title of this entry is a little misleading. It does feel incredible when you type the last few words of a script, sit back and sigh “I’m done.” But I’m far from a “completed project..” I will do re-writes to the script to try and make it the best I can possibly make it. I’ll fix some dialogue, add scenes that are needed or cut scenes that aren’t. Little things here and there. I’ll re-read it and then see if there are any other changes that need to be made.

Then the real fun begins: Pre-production.

I noticed I said I hit the half way mark on November 3rd. I finished the first draft November 14th. My script is only 97 pages but that’s 37 pages in 10 days. I’m impressed with myself. Hopefully I can keep that kind of dedication up. I would love to write more scripts after I finish this one.

Slowly but surely

I’ve hit the half way mark in my script. It took a little while for the ball to get rolling but now that it has I find myself wanting time to write. I also seem to write more at work than anywhere else. I think there are too many distractions at home. At work I can go to the cafeteria, listen to my ipod and type away. I plan on working on it tonight. Who knows? Perhaps I can start writing more regularly and have a few scripts under my belt…
